Pectoral Implants in Dallas, TX

What are Pectoral Implants?

Men want to have a defined, muscular chest, but to achieve it through exercise can entail nearly a full-time commitment.

More and more men are opting to undergo pectoral implant placement surgery to increase the size and contour of their chest. The result is a more toned, sculpted appearance.

What Are Pectoral Implants?

Placed directly under the pectoral muscles, pectoral implants are designed to achieve a natural, symmetrical, and more attractive chest.

Pectoral implants are anatomical in shape, providing the patient with a natural-looking result following the procedure. To reduce the risk of capsular contracture, where scar tissue forms around the implant, pectoral implants are designed with a rough surface. You will discuss you implant options with Dr. Trovato, deciding on choices such as vertically-shaped implants that create a higher, fuller mid-chest.

What Can I Expect During My Pectoral Implants Consultation?

Expectations for your procedure

During your consultation for pectoral implants Dallas plastic surgeon, Dr. Trovato will discuss expectations for the procedure with you. Together you’ll choose the implant type and size. And you’ll discuss possible complications.

How Is a Pectoral Implant Surgery Done?

Pectoral implant surgery is an outpatient procedure with intravenous sedation.

To minimize scarring and because it provides easy access to the pectoral muscles, the small incisions are made in the armpits. Dr. Trovato then makes a pocket for each implant under the pectoral muscle, pectoralis major, and above the rib cage. Occasionally, the muscle at the sternum is detached to provide access. Then the implants are placed into the pocket and checked for position.

Recovery

Most Dallas pectoral implant patients need to take a few days off work for this procedure.

Regular activities can be resumed in about a week, but heavy-duty sports and strenuous exercise needs to wait for at least six weeks.
